Default LS3 e-force + cam question

i have a dry sump manual grand sport vette...im wanting to do the e-force s/c and possibly a blower cam as well. my main question is what kind of power are the stock internals safely capable of roughly? i honestly dont have the slightest clue. thanks!

700rwhp would be about all I personally would feel safe doing. People have been up to 840rwhp, but I feel that you are risking things too much at that point.

That being said, if your tuner sucks you can blow your motor at 500rwhp.

thanks for the input! luckily i have heintz racing near me and LG motorsports highly recommended them and i've heard nothing but the best about their building and tuning. im looking to just make around 600whp and not really much more than that so i just wanted to make sure that was ok on the stock pistons/rods and such

I've been in the 650rwhp area for almost 4 years on my M6 LS3. It has a Maggie, but the same TVS2300 rotor group as the EForce. Just stay on the mild side with your cam selection. Bigger cams don't tend to make any more power with TVS blowers vs smaller cams....just more noise, less mpg, and a tougher tune. With a blower cam and bolt ons, you should hit +/- your 600 rwhp number with a 3.5" blower pulley and maybe 8ish psi boost. No doubt it will be a fun ride

Heintz is top notch. Talk with them about doing a smaller pulley. You might not even need a cam to hit your goals. You going to do methanol?

ok cool deal i will see what their input is! and honestly im not sure about doing methanol....i am not real familiar with its pros and cons. and on a side note...is it the same way on a centrifugal blower that a bigger cam doesn't really mean more power?

thanks for the help! i am excited and cant wait to make some power haha. a couple questions: is it the same way for the centrifugal blowers that a bigger cam doesnt really make more power? and also what clutch do you have to hold that power?

If you have plenty of blower capacity, you can make more with more cam. That's not the case with a TVS2300. You only have so much blower capacity before it gets out of it's effeciency range. I would imagine it would be the same way with a smaller centri.

I have a ZR1 clutch and it's held up fine. I don't beat on it constantly, but it finds its way to the track several times a year. So far, so good. When I added it, there wasn't much out there with stock like pedal feel and drivability. More options available now.

Stick with the Eforce, don't give in to the dark side. I agree with just using a smaller pulley than changing the cam. Driveability is great with the Eforce. You will love it.
