Is it reasonable that the belt could be the issue to my CRAZY LOUD chirping during the first 8-10 minutes of startup? I've had the supercharger on the car for about a year and this just started out of the blue. Once warm it is nearly silent as best I can tell from inside the car.
Need to fix this this weekend....it's pretty embarrassing at the moment. When someone looks over I just shift real quick so the crazy loud chirping is replaced momentarily by the crazy loud blow-off valve, lol.
Also, how difficult is it to swap belts with the A&A kit? I've never had to fiddle with it since it was installed.
Thanks!
Oh, and what length gatorback belt with 3.8" pulley....everything else is stock.
I'm just going off my ECS kit and its pretty simple, but I think an A and A kit the blower has to be loosened or removed. go to utube there is a video on there.

I thought with their newer bracket it wasn't supposed to be bad.
Edit - Unfortunately I'm at work and can't access Youtube....also left my phone at home so can't access it with that either, lol
It's not a side of the road replacement...I bit the bullet and had the shop do it..lucky my dealership is able to do aftermarket mods and repairs, they give a nice discount on parts and labor also..
I have the EXACT same issue. The car is been fine until recently. Now the belt squeals like crazy for approximately 8-10 min after startup. Spray some water (from a spray bottle) on the ribbed portion of the belt....if the chirp/squeal goes away (but comes right back), its the belt. If the sound remains, it's one of the pulleys.
I'm going to have my belt replaced from a Gates to a Gatorback and see if that fixes the issue. I almost hate to drive the car because it sounds like a POS.
As for the size of the belt - with a 3.8" pulley you need Gate p/n K060910
I've changed my belt 2 times recently, takes me about an hour and a half on a lift. You might be able to wiggle the belt in just loosening the blower brackets , but I just removed the whole thing. Kind of a pain, but not bad after the first time.
Well I definitely don't have time for that this weekend with family down and a wedding to attend....I'll make a call and see if a shop can squeeze me in.

Yeah, it definitely goes away if I douse it enough.
My brother pulled up next to me on the way home from the gym this afternoon in his 5.0 with my cousin and threw some revs....I couldn't respond for fear of sounding totally ridiculous, lol
Have you tried to just tighten the belt...Sometimes they stretch a little bit.. Lot easier to adjust it before you go through the hassle of replacing it... Just a passing thought

Holy smokes. You need to get that thing fixed. The whole Vette community rides with you I don't have the same blower, but had a similar belt issue. The belt looked fine. It had 24K miles on it. I took the belt off and carefully examined all idler pulleys and looked at the belt driven accessories. I just knew there was a problem with an idler pulley, alt, power steering pump, etc. Couldn't find an issue. Changed the belt....and the chirp/squeal disappeared. Hope yours is that simple. Those pesky mustangs need to be put in their place.
I had the same issue with my A&A system after a couple years of light use. I started to get some belt chirp with a cold engine, but would go away as the engine warmed up.
I got a new belt, and when removing the old one found it had stretched considerably. Even with the manual tensioner maxed out, I don't think the spring-loaded tensioner was doing much. I'm guessing you have the same issue. You could also try snugging up the manual tensioner if you haven't tried that already.

Well this is a late update on my belt squeal.
At the dealership it was found that my crank pully was bad...it had walked back toward the engine causing a wear in the timing cover and oil pan.
Thank goodness the wear wasn't that bad that those items didn't have to be replaced.
So when checking for belt squeal check the crank pully to see if there is any wobble, if there is the pully has to be replaced along with new crank key.

^^This^^
Had the exact same issue, though you will have to remove the head unit iot replace the belt.
Dang nab it. My belt just started making noise yesterday. Only lasts for about 10-20 seconds right now though. Old style A&A bracket means crappy belt change. Either that or it's one of the direct drive belts. Meh.
Try the DD belt first, it likes to squeal. Also I found the GY belts are a lot better for noise. I just swapped the gates to a GY on the DD and it is much better.
