Default Pulled the S/C trigger today...

Well, I did it, I dropped off the 2011 GS at A&A Corvette in Oxnard for the big centri install. S-trim, blacked-out version.

I met Josh and Andy and some of the other guys, left the Vette, and now I just have to wait, and order some new tires in the meantime.

I will update the thread when I get the car back.

you went with the V3 si-trim right? If so, its an excellent choice! You'll love how boosted v8 feel and SOUND!! My ZR1 have so much torque down low is ridiculous! a&a are centri but still so much more torque than N/A! congrats!

Would you share why you picked the A&A over other setups?

Default Looking forward to your feedback

If you could, I would love to know the out the door cost with this setup. I am closing in on doing the same install and would like to know if my shop is giving me the best deal quote I could get with all these SC sales on this forum. Thanks and good luck!!!

Well, first off, I went with the centri over roots for the reasons beaten to death here on CF, and the last thing I want is to start that argument again here in this happy thread. I will say that wanted the opposite of the main argument for the roots, i.e., instant-on torque. I don't want MILITARY POWER kicking in no matter what RPM I am at on a California public road. Maybe in an AWD vehicle, but not in a car that can spin the tires stock.

I went with A&A S/C specifically because it has a CARB #, i.e., California smog legal. Honestly, if I lived in a non-Communist, er non-smog state, I probably would have gone with a TT.

I went with A&A themselves for the install due to their rep here, and the fact that they make the things, and this is what they do all day, every day of their lives. And what a fun, noisy place it seems to be. I'll of course relate my full experiences with them when the car is returned.

Yes,my question was not geared to starting the yeah's and nay's, but asking your personal preferences about your decision.

Thank you for the info.

I've been sitting on the fence for a bit. Am considering making a decision late summer. Calif as well.

Well, got the Vette back from the boys at A&A today, and the verdict is in:

It actually did a 610 run, but Andy dialed it down a bit for the final tune.

Just like they say about centris, they explode about 4K, and man, does it howl with the Z06 mani and pipes with NPP open.

I'll post more soon, but I am trashed after like 5 hours of driving today...

Got some NT05R 345's on back today. Took my tire guy for a test ride (on a closed course). I guess I needed to clear off some of that initial residue, because we felt a little tiny bit of squirrely wheel spin. In third gear. At 80+ MPH.

I don't think I will be doing any tracking, at least until these drag radials come off.

No, just dumping in cans of Torco for now, but I am very seriously considering meth as my next mod.

Did you do a baseline run before mods? Besides the blower, what else was done to the car? Headers, intake...anything?

I'm starting to hate Arizona.

I'm on E85 with a T-trim and make 607/535 with a 3.4 pulley. I can't wait until it cools off.
