For the first time in my life I think I might need a shorter belt. My harmonic balancer started the wobble so I upgraded to a Innovators west 8 rib kit with a 10% overdrive. I'm running an eforce with a 3.25 " pulley. The belt that came with the eforce is a Gatorback 4061005.

Where did you get an 8 rib pulley for the eforce?

Probably just running the 6 rib blower pulley still. You can run an 8 rib crank with a 6 rib belt.

Pull up the gates belt size guide and goto local autoparts store, get 3 or 4 shorter belts the next few sizes down and go at it.

Exactly what I did to find the right size. I thought from the post he had an 8rib kit. Probably just the damper as you say.

Yea it's a little excessive but I figured if I was going to do the balancer, that I would just do everything. Recently I started getting the wobble so it was time. It's all shiny now. Are you running a gates belt with your eforce? What pulley are you running now?

I'm running a 3 inch and an ATI 8% OD 8 rib damper. Went 8 rib in case I ever wanted to upgrade everything at some point.
Edelbrock just sent me a new upgraded tensioner which required a belt change. They sent a belt which was short due to the OD damper so I had to get one. All I could find quickly the right size was a Delco belt which I believe is made by gates. I'd like to run the gates green one but they don't make the side I need.

I bought a 3.25 and 3.00 pulley to start with. I'm going to start with the 3.25 and see where I'm at. Did the new tensioner from Edelbrock make much of a difference? I'm wondering if I should give them a call. I've had my eforce for about 2 years so I assume I have the old balancer.

I wasn't having a problem so it hasn't really made a difference but it is definitely a heavier duty piece with a stronger spring. I assume that they made the change because issues were cropping up. Otherwise they wouldn't be handing them out for free.
I wonder if the innovators pulley will fit the new tensioner?
