Default Rebuilding the AtomicFusion Corvette

I plan on posting some pictures here of the rebuild process as well as updates on what is going on for those that don't follow us on Carlyleracing.com or on facebook/carlyleracing.

The car is coming back together...

For those that don't know... the car suffered considerably last month when we had a "little" fire in the engine bay...

But with the help of great sponsors like IPSMotorsports.net, Garrett, DriveShaftShop, RPM Transmissions, AllPro heads, TialSport, Wiseco, BigStuff, Callies, Aeromotive, Dailey Engineering, Coughlin Automotive, and new sponsors Neal Chance Converters, Moran, Kurt Urban Performance, Fragola Lines and fittings, Firecore wires and Holley, we will be back together in no time!

Nice to see her coming back. Hated to see those fire pics. How much of the engine and FI were salvageable?

Glad to hear you are not letting a little fire get you down,
Build it, race it, break it, make it faster, repeat.

All of the fuel system had to be replaced except for the rails... we even replaced the Throttle body.

All wiring in the entire car, all hoses, lines, fittings...

the firewall and the floor under the driver seat were both destroyed...

Lots of work, but we will be back out soon!

Serious question.....what caused the fire and how do you plan on overcoming it in the future ?? The reason I ask is....I heard it was injector o-ring related.

Good luck getting her back out soon !!

Sorry to hear about the fire . I'm sure you will be rebuilding it better than before .. If that's even possible .

I just searched and found that pic. Something like 5 o injectors. I have seen some really nice ones on the bullet before, thought moran made them but couldn't find them on his site. BDS makes some that are threaded on both ends.

It was an injector 0-ring... we have since changed injectors and will be checking them more often.
