If you want to run more boost, you should consider lowering compression so as not to destroy the pistons. You can either thicken up on the head gasket, or go for shorter pistons (much better), which would get you lower compression. I'm in the middle of my LS7 S/C build now...looking for 850+ on a 3.4 pulley with a Vortech V3 Si. I purchased new pistons - stage 3 cam and sent the heads out for porting & polishing, amongst other things I had to do to build more reliability. I think I can go for much more boost with this build, but will see what I get with the mods I'm doing now before going further. Stock pistons with a lot of boost would be an issue for me...like a time bomb. I just don't think they're quite designed for that...but that's just my 2 cents.

Have they changed the design of the Big Mouth Intake? I bought it 2 years ago and there was no way it would fit with my F1A and the full length Procharger intercooler.
