By the time we have a car that needs BBG we install the Haltech ECU which can do either boost by gear, or boost by MPH. Works great and they are now plug and play for C6's.

I stand corrected, my EBoost2 was set for gear. I haven't used it yet so I apologize.

Do you have a good, working setup with this?

If you have an eBoost 2, you can do boost by gear, boost by MPH or 2 step using this $120 module from Lingenfelter. I placed an order yesterday.

Aah, that's what I said. I talked with Lingenfelter tech support before I ordered.

Quoted from the eBoost 2 manual:

"SSA Sequential Switching Function A –- Allows you to sequentially switch between different boost settings. This switch logic could
be applied in a situation where you want to have a different boost level in each gear.

- Earthing the green wire with a switch will scroll up a single set point.
- Earthing the green wire again will switch up another single set point.
- The maximum number of set points that can be switch up to is determined by nSP in the setup menu.
- Once the maximum set point is reached through switching further switching not increase the set point any higher.
- Earthing orange wire with a switch will reset and return to SP1."

Cool. I missed the Eboost part and read the PDF instructions you attached where they mention the other controllers. So I currently have my boost curve set by RPM by boost group and sp1,sp2,sp3. Can I keep that and use the SSA functionality.

I'm not sure yet as I just came across this a couple days ago. I should have the module in a couple days as it is being shipped by USPS Priority Mail.

Please keep me in the loop with your installation and findings either through PM or on this thread. Good luck! This sounds like just what I have been looking for.

Between reading the instructions you posted and using an eboost2 in the past I have an idea of how this might work. At the same time, I thought eboost2 required different combinations of wires to be grounded and open in order to switch set points? Please let us know how everything turns out for you.

I have always wanted a simple boost by speed or boost by gear setup for the street ever since I went over 750rwhp. Then, when I went to 20 psi, I couldn't even go wide open in 4th unless I was on a very good concrete surface. The first three gears were useless except at the track on ET Street Bias Plys.

Due to a good deal from a forum member, I decided to install the HKS EVC 5 and was able to test it out last night. If anyone is looking for a simple solution, I can verify that this one works. I hooked 2nd and 3rd gear @ WOT last night for the first time in over a year. Being able to go full throttle and not have lift or modulate the throttle is lots of fun. I still need to adjust the speed range for 1st gear because it is a little too aggressive. For anyone looking for a boost by speed controller, HKS EVC 5 is CONFIRMED for the corvette. I have a C5 but I believe the signal off the VSS is similar between C5/C6.

Seems like it would work, but damn, those instructions are confusing...

I remember Taylor talking about that a couple TI's ago when you were talking to him about it. That they needed multiple relays and such in conjunction with the shifter plate. That may have been an older EBII because all the one's I've seen have two wires, one to click up a notch each time it's grounded and another to reset the sequence when it's grounded.

There is no mention of boost by speed as of firmware 4.19. Thats why the Lingenfelter box was mentioned.

Bill:

you are correct, the EB2 uses the green wire with a momentary gnd to step and the org wire to reset.
