A guy has a used si 3 trim supercharger complete system for sale and i was told it had around 3 thousand miles on it.He said it came of a LS2 engine that blowed up but the engine had oiling problems it wasn't the SC that caused it.My question is would you trust the SC and were the engine went down could it affect the SC in any way.I can get it for around 3,500 complete system BAP and all,is that a fair deal or do you guys think that is a little step on that system for it being used?
A little info please, not looking for huge hp but somewere over 500 would do me just great and this system will do that just fine.
thanks guys
I was considering used @ one point but I just saved up the $ for a new kit... Your prolly better off , you dont want someone elses problem! You say 500hp now but HP is addictive you'll be happy and a week later you'll want more... Get the ECS kit with Novi 1500 you have more room to grow, or if A&A is what you are set on then make sure you get the T trim... Those SI blowers arnt enough for our high displacement motors IMO, any questions hit me up - Eric
Sounds like a decent price for a used kit. Question is, is what the seller saying true? Who knows!
I keep seeing deals on brand new ones here on the forum all the time. Is it worth chancing it to save some bucks? I prefer saving up until I can afford something brand new with a warranty. Don't want anyone else's headaches.
I bought mine used with more miles on it and it has been rock solid. The measly si was only able to muster 600 to the wheels though. Don't be fooled it's capable of producing plenty of power.
Wouldn't that be bad? I mean, wouldn't a raped ape be shrieking and yelling loudly because his *** really hurts? A supercharger making those sounds should probably go in for service.
Maybe Art likes it that way? Either way I'm glad to hear my setup is still doing well. At times I wish I just kept it, dialed the car into the 650-680rwhp range and enjoyed it. It would have been much less hassle than 900+

By hassle you mean having to run drag radials? Breaking parts?
