Default C6 A6 Edelbrock

Just got it back and it is a quick ride. Did the 599 kit w/a pro tune and it runs. Just @ 500 / 480. What boost will I get with the small pulley and what HP.

Thanks guys,

Dave

I'm pretty much in the same boat. Our 1591 kits produce 5 to 5.5 lbs of boost with headers. The next size pulley down adds approx. 1.5 lbs of boost and has to be re tuned for it. As far as hp the best estimates I have been given are around 30 to 40 more hp. As you drive, and run if you do that you will feel a big difference in power in cool to cold weather. The intake temps make a big difference on the Eforce and they do heat soak bad, so if you want the best times you will have to do as I do and really cool it down between passes at the strip. Just to give you an idea of what I'm saying. My car went a 7.39 1/8 and 11.39 1/4 pass at Zmax on a 55 degree day. At my local 1/8th mile track my best in the heat has been 7.63. So there is right at two and a half tenths. I'm actually going to add about a 50 hp shot of nitrous as soon as I can install it. I've got the system, it's just been a matter of not having enough time for the install. And I'm prolly going to only use it in hot temps. I just want to compensate for the heat soak.

I was wondering if anyone that has installed E-Force ever found out what it does to the original GM Warranty? I have a 2013 GS with E-Force and COW tune installed . Bought it with 3K miles and never thought about the warranty but I am now!

Don't think about it too much, because you don't have one anymore.

The as-shipped Edelbrock kits are pretty easy on the LS3 motor. I've only seen one failure and that was an oddball manufacturing quality issue.

Is just the powertrain warranty out the door.....or is it the entire bumper to bumper full vehicle warranty that's kaput?

I would think it has no effect on bumper to bumper other than what had to be removed for the actual install, although I could easily see them saying the additional weight of the supercharger stressed the suspension, brakes, etc.... so who knows.

I doubt that.....dealers want to fine any and every reason not to cover anything. Thats my opinion, maybe someone who works at a dealer can chime in but that has been my experience. If you have a sc on your car and something messes up with your rear-end dont you think their gunna say we're not gunna cover it because your throwin 100+ more hp at it than it was designed to handle?

If there is a failure and it was directly caused by the SC, then no warranty fix.. BUT, the warranty is still active on any other parts of the car. The key is to find out which vendors are approved for installation and get it in writing before the installation.

A very close friend of mine had a new 03 Z06 (back in 03) that he had an MP-112 installed on and he took it into the dealership for warranty work plenty of times. Once the trans had synchro issues and they fixed that under warranty.. all the rest of the issues were electrical and not associated with the blower.

So yes, you can still have a warranty if you talk to the dealer before hand and get approval on an installer (the key part). I think it also helps to install a part that is installed on other like-model cars that have a warranty. (like TVS or maggie & Calloway)

OP, Congrats on your new found power.. Just keep it from finding the ditch!

Of course....rear-end is directly related to the powertrain though.

We're talking about bumper to bumper apart from the power/drivetrain.

Default 3 inch pulley

Sorry to beat this to death and 4 u 600 + guys who probably find this funny, without going LSX, can I get 600 RWHP with a stock LS2 with a Edelbrock 1594 kit by going to a 3 inch pulley and race gas or Torco additive?

Once again, thanks

Dave

If you're M6, a 3.25 pulley, mild blower cam, and bolt ons should get you there. 600 wheel with an A6 will take quite a bit more.

Edit: Ahhh shoot, just noticed the "A6" in the title of your thread. Yes, you might need the 3.0" pulley to get there. Cool air will damn sure help.
