I'm looking for the best options to fix my issue. I have a 07 vette with a A&A kit. I have the s-trim with a 3.8 pulley. I've been having a fuel pressure issue once the car has been driven around a while and gotten hot. I believe my fuel pump is not producing after getting hot. My normal pressure is right around 62psi. After driving an hour or so it stays at 62 until I get on it and drops into the low 30's and I can feel a major difference. I'm wonder would I be better off putting in a bigger fuel pump or add a meth kit? Or maybe someone can add something else I can look into. Thanks
Do you have a boost a pump installed? With a boost a bump and stock fuel system you should be fine at your levels, as well with the 3.4 pulley most likely. It will be a pushing the stock system + BAP but should still be fine.
Meth will help with fuel/octane/temps but is not the solution to a fuel issue. I would add meth when you pulley down but for sure figure out the fuel issue
No I have the stock harness. Is the caspers a plug and go or do I have to splice it in? I'm only having the problem when the car is hot from driving 45 minutes or longer. So I'm not sure if it's just the pump getting hot or not.
Yes it is a plug-n-play kit.
It has a heavy wire that runs from the alternator to the fuel pump harness plug in the LR wheel well.
You will need to take the LR wheel off and remove the splash shield to install the kit.
The heat issue is probably related to the factory wire heating up, increasing resistance and lowering voltage seen at the pump.
Test it with a Fluke meter before and after the Casper hotwire harness and you will see a difference.
I did mine 2 years ago... so I don't remember exactly what the voltage loss was... but I seem to recall the OEM harness was only supplying 11-something volts to the pump when the engine was running.
The Casper harness put 14-something volts to the pump. The KB BAP jumps it to 17-something when needed.
In my opinion... the fuel pump hotwire harness should be a mandatory upgrade and one of the first things in a list of mods done to these cars.

Awesome thanks for the info. I just ordered it so I'm hoping that solves it. That's way cheaper than another pump lol.
