I have changed the belt multiple times. You do have to remove the upper hose on the engine side, and I would say the whole procedure takes about 20-30 minutes. No big deal really considering under normal circumstances, you wouldn't have to change it for years.

HA "normal"
you mean 6800rpm shifts with an IW 10% od balancer for 15 min track sessions? Yea.. Ive been through about 10 belts.
I was wondering if the Heartbeat routes around the rad hose to eliminate the need to pull it for belt changes

I don't track my car but in 2 summers and about 30 quarter mile passes, my belt was still perfect. I had to change it a few times but not because the belt wasn't good.

I spoke with magnusun at SEMA and they said you don't have to remove the hose... But he didn't seem 100% sure and I don't really see how that's possible, from the location of the pulley. I didn't see one on a car though, so I guess it might be right.

Hi Old motorhead
The pulley is about 3.8 and boost is alittle over 6 pounds. I have an old thread that shows pics back in june.DRM may be putting some 17/8 headers on in may for alittle more power.I"am looking for over 500 rwt without opening the engine. will go to Phadt headers if i go that route.I think I sent you the instructions back then on install of the heartbeat.

Yes you did and I've forwarded them on to numerous folks. Thanks again. Add the LT's and pulley down to get your boost back over 6psi and you should hit your goals.

No, with LS3 cars you dont need to (at least the 2009-2013). 2008 in the instructions from Edelbrock mentioned something different about the 2008 year. Not sure though.

Not sure whether you can swap pumps or not (earlier to later) but if you can you'll also need the shorter radiator hose AND a different (changed diameter on the 2009+) thermostat and t-stat housing. It would be easy enough to verify if you could hold one of each pump in your hands at the parts house.
