Default E-force and auto's

Really would like to add some more power to my 2013 GS. But will the Edelbrock E-Force superchargers cause problems with my automatic transmission?

it will work great. IMO an auto trans with an e force is is the best combo right now, for a mild 500-600 WHp build, which is a lot of fun.

I have a 2012 GS with a e force and a stock auto trans and its all holding up fine.

Good luck,

My '13 GS auto is okay with an A&A blower at 628 RWHP. I have no traction at WOT in 1st or 2nd but that's another matter.

What combination of mods are you running to be at 628 rwhp? Just curious because I have a '10 GS with auto.

Auto here with a 600HP kit and highly tuned. Eforce seems to be made for it. IMO

Didn't you just post you had 770/770 to the wheels with this GS auto and e-force?

My current project is a 2012 GS and now makes 750/770 at the wheels through a A6 trans. It is traction limited but has run a best of 10.28 at 141mph.

Last year this combo started at 550/580 and existed this way for a few months until I figured out a number of things to pick up the power to where I am at now.

Even at 550/580 it was a lot more fun vs. when it was stock.

Thanks,

This is really random, but: I have 2008 black on black Z06 with 8,000 miles, whole thing custom wrapped in XPEL (I spent $5K on a custom wrap), she's a beauty and 100% stock. I want to get the heads reworked and supercharge when GMPP is up in 4 years.

Am I crazy for thinking that maybe I should I sell/trade my sweet Z06 right now for a later year (e.g. 2012), low miles, automatic trans Grand Sport for the purpose of having a more reliable platform (the LS3) for supercharging?

The valve drop issue - even if overblown - is one thing; the LS7 being a suboptimal engine for supercharging is another thing; and - call me a wuss - but I'm getting tired on rowing my gears on this daily driver, it'd be nice to click some paddle shifters or depress my foot and have the beast downshift and take off.

No, you aren't crazy at all. That's a good plan.

We have had our Eforce on for almost a year and 30,000 miles. We also added Kooks headers and hi flo cats. I recently put a small nitrous shot on it as well. Also I use drag radials most of the time and try to race once a week during our season. My main point is if I haven't had tranny problems yet I don't think you will. We have had 0 trans issues. The car is an absolute blast to drive and it is our daily driver. It usually does well in shows and cruise ins too. The Eforce made it a completely different car. It now has more power than a ZR1 and we cruise with the top off. BTW it also always has a big crowd around it at the drag strip. It's lots of fun. Be prepared to answer lots of questions though, thats fun too. You will be thrilled.

How much power did your car make with the e force and bolt ons? and how much did you make with the small shot of nitrous? I just bought a e force 599 kit and have lg headers was debating wether to put a small shot of nitrous 50-100 lol

I haven't had an opportunity to dyno it yet.

Nope, no problems. You're going to love it - except for the lack of traction

I made 589 rwhp with my eforce out of a automatic tranny and its been flawless so far. I think a good tune combined with your tuner programming your shift points will extend the life of the tranny.
