Ok I have a friend who just bought a F1R for his C6... Now he wants to run 18-20psi.... He has a InnovatorWest 10% overdriven balancer on the car... What pulley size will he need on the blower to make at least 18psi...? The motor is built... I'm not gonna go into detail... Just need to know the proper pulley size... Thanks...
FWIW, a 4.25"x8" pulley combo gets you 69,120 rpm impeller speed at 6800 rpms. The max impeller speed on an F1R is 68,000. Technically speaking, a 4.25" x 8" combo is maxing out an F1R. Normally this is around 900-950rwhp in a C5/C6.
Of course there is some unicorn cars that make 1k+ with the F1R but not often.
396ci, Fast 92 intake, ported heads, full boltons, 6500rpm and a medium size cam...
your details are not helping much, you say "medium" size cam, so is the cam a blower cam or geared more towards NA? more detailed specs will get you the pulley size you need, or you can always just call procharger give them the details and they can spec out the correct size pulley for you

Just put the 4.25 pulley on it and max it out.. You will do it eventually anyway. I hope you have a 10 rib drive on it.
Don't worry about psi.. Worry about impeller speed.. Who gives a crap how much boost it's making as long as it's not detonating.
Also pay attention to the inlet pipe/air filter setup.. F series blowers hate anything in front of them. I gain 1-2 psi and 45hp when I pull my 4" inlet pipe off and put a velocity stack on the blower.
Again this is for a friend and I'm am getting the info as I type... Sorry I don't have the specs on the cam but yes it's a blower cam... It has a 10rib drive on it... It's got everything it needs to make the power and handle it...

Max the bitch out then. I'm about 8k past rated impeller speed on my T-trim.
The F series blowers make a ton of heat if you over spin them too hard.. Especially an F1R... You'll end up fighting high IATs if you spin it too hard, then you'll lose whatever power you gained from boost .. At the absolute smallest run a 4.00" pulley but that over speeds an F1r pretty hard..
ARUN once mentioned he can make more power with a 4.25 pulley then a 4.00 pulley on an F1r due to heat.. He was making in the 950rwhp range then.
