Default Dragon superchargers?

I have been trying to decide on what style supercharger and I want a roots style if I have to buy new.
The edelbrocks are nice but too expencive and the looks in my opinion are nothing compared to a Maggie.
I was told to look at these dragon supercharges because the prices are lower and look best.
Any opinions on these?
also where can I find the best price on a new or reman kit?
I have been told A&a and other companys offer rebuilt kits, but see nothing about it .

Several years back, there were several pretty much failed attempts at getting a twinscrew blower (not a Roots) under the stock C6 hood. Dragon had one and maybe Tecko or Techco had one too. I remember the title to one thread being "I'm getting "screwed" by Techco". At the time he started the thread, he had no idea exactly how bad he would be screwed. I don't know whatever became of all of that. Maybe one of the other members has a better memory than me. I don't think it ended well.

If you want a top mount, you have to pay to play. Centri kits are much cheaper. You can get a centri installed and tuned for what you'll pay just for the top mount kit. EForce might be the least expensive of the top mounts. If you buy the old style Maggie TVS, you might save a few bucks on the charger, but you'll have to spend those bucks and more on a hood and paint. You can opt for the Heartbeat Maggie that will fit under the stock hood, but it's more expensive than the EForce. I believe SLP makes a jack shaft TVS kit, but it too requires a new hood.

If you want to go the twinscrew route, Whipple makes a 2.9L blower for LS3 and LS7 Vettes. I believe it's yet a little more expensive than the Roots blowers...and requires an aftermarket hood/paint. Do you see a trend here? Just mo damn money.....

Might allow for big bad assed air/air heat exchanger and an effecient post blower meth system to be used though.

Just a whipple mounted to the side and fed into an air to air. Nothing like a centri besides similar style intercooler. That would be like saying a centri with an air/water is like a PD blower.

Look for a thread about Dragon on here I believe by Rescue1 where he got screwed, then screwed again and finally landed up with an A&A kit and then was happy.

I never seen one like that before.
I was looking at dragons on their site and they were on top of the motor, but no pricing.
I already have the hood , can not understand why they cost so much more though.

You can't go wrong with the 2.9 whipple. I have one on my Z06 and love it. It's the best designed PD blower on the market hands down.

I will give them a call.
Hopefully they are around $5k like I herd.
I really want a p/d blower but $8k for a edelbrock or maggie is too much for any supercharger.

If you have a few (or more) hours to burn, here is some reading for you. I really think you'll reconsider even calling Dragon after reading these threads. I remember watching it all unfold online:

Yep...I'm guessing there is a reason or twelve why you don't hear anything about them around here. Apparently they changed their name just slightly too....
