Default Boost 101

Im having the car built right now, and just trying to explore more power in the near future. I have looked at AA systems, and it still is a possibility. Just wondering if anyone here is running rear mounted turbos for a C6Z?

So far I have the mods listed below going in.

WCCH stage 2 heads
1 1/78s LTs w/ 3" X pipe
Stock intake manifold
Custom Grind 233/245 .652/.635 113+3 (I have to see if this cam is even turbo compatible)

My questions are:

-Will the LTs I have need to be scrapped?
-Would 5psi be the max I can do before beefing up other engine components?

Depending on the power output, I do know that the pistons might need to be changed, as well as the block. I only want to run 700rwhp, which im assuming will be 100% fine with stock components.

I know fuel system needs to be upgraded, possible e85 upgrade.

OR

Just stick to AA style and call it a day? From the looks of it, it is cheaper too.

Anything else im missing?

I wouldn't run a vette without forced induction. Out of all of the available ways to achieve positive manifold pressure, a rear mount turbo would be the last one on my list. Matter of fact, I've changed my mind. I wouldn't run F/I if a rear mount turbo(s) was my only option. Never had one and won't, but it looks like a plumbing nightmare to me. Lots of potential for rattles and leaks. I like simple and reliable. I've lost my love for tinkering and working on stuff. I just want to drive the hell out of it and enjoy it

For 700 rwhp, there are lots of great options. Any of the centri kits or a top mount can get you there.

There is an older guy that runs at our local 1/8th mile dragstrip that has the rear mount twin turbo set-up. His car runs pretty darn good. He does have meth on it as well. It runs low 7's in the 1/8th. It has headers and a custom tune, but other than that it is stock. I think he has had the tranny rebuilt at least once, maybe more. And he drives it alot.

Top mount would be out of the question. I dont want to modify stock hood, and I dont like Eforce look too much. Looks cheap. Centri would be another option I would cosider
