Just put together my combo, stock ls2 with pat g cam, t trim, and 60 lb injectors. Not sure if it's my sending unit for the gauge or something in the tune I have. What should my pressure be? Stock pump also with a BAP.
I recall when I fired it with the stock injectors and tune it had about 50. I had to obviously crack the line to change the injectors, then downloaded my new start up tune given for the 60's. I bled the air out of it also.
Nothing should have changed in regard to fuel pressure at idle. The pressure is mechanically regulated, but I don't think all cars are exactly the same. I think the "normal" spec is 58 psi. My old car seemed to run at 60 or above most of the time, at least according to the gauge I installed.
There's no bleeding or anything else that needs to be done after opening these fuel systems. It'll fill and bleed out any air when you fire up the engine. If you're worried about the pressure, maybe verify it with a high quality mechanical test gauge (ie Snap On, etc).
