Default Is Meth really worth it????

I have a 2013 Z06 with the Vortech A&A supercharger system and I'm wondering if I should get a Meth system. I have heard good and bad things about using it. I don't know that much about it. What is your thoughts.. I'm making 643RWHP with this system and American Racing headers with the Akrapovic exhaust..

If your looking to pick up just a little safety and keep your iats down you can do a single nozzle or two small ones. I would recommend the ecs alky kit with the stealth tank for the rear and a tune. You should pick up a solid 25+whp/tq and will keep it from pulling Timming on some back to back hits.

If you are happy with what you have, then maybe not. If you want more out of the system then hell yes it is worth it.

When my meth hits full spray at 4k rpm it feels like a second supercharger kicks in.

Especially in warmer climates, it's VERY worth it.

Totally worth it. You do not use it unless you are in boost. Big difference in the summer time keeping the performance consistent in the heat.

A side benefit is it keeps your intake valves and tops of your pistons very clean. I had 33k miles on my LS3 when I snapped the timing chain. Heads and pistons looked dang near brand new when we took it apart. If I get a C7 I will run meth on it just for that benefit alone since it's a direct injected motor.

Here in Phoenix I was able to run 4* more timing with meth. About 70rwhp. Plus with meth you won't see timing getting pulled for high IAT temps during a long pull.

Alky Control. It gradually ramps up based on boost. ECS is a dealer for them. You can also call them direct and chat with Julio. For NA guys it can be configured based on TPS as well. It's a spendy kit, but the braided lines and features make it worth the money.

I have Alky Control single nozzle. Like Jon, my tuner (Andy of A&A) added about 70HP with more aggressive timing by adding meth (595 to 666). It's also good as insurance with your current tune without even adding any timing. Then again, I even add a can of Torco to every tank for peace of mind.

Might want to check around locally that you can get meth close to your home. Shipping on 5 GA pails is a bitch!

I do find it a hassle to always be topping off. I'd much prefer a forged motor where I never had to worry about such things.

Another "downside," if you can call it that, is that @ 595 my NT05R's held rock solid. Now, @ 666 (and more aggressive timing all the way through the powerband) hooking is a lot more dicey. For those of us more concerned about putting power down to the ground than swinging our dicks and bragging about (useless on the street) HP, being realistic about traction is an issue.

With that said, a blown Z under 700 RWHP has a lot left on the table.

It is kinda cool when you get on it and that green light comes on.

I use alky control and it is maf activated which is what Julio suggests for a PD blower like mine. I am not sure whether maf or boost activated is best for a centri.
The beauty of Alky Control is that you can just contact Julio and he will be happy to answer your questions an steer you in the right direction. Great customer service.
