After driving the car around today the engine light went on then started to flash then the light just stayed on. Power is being lost at high RPM as if its fighting for the power as if detonation wasn't happening (didnt sound right)
Parked the car raised the hood and steam was coming out of the engine bay. Went back to it later and there was what looked like oil on the ground not a lot but it was there. Parked it in a near by shop that happen to be a Subaru dealer mechanics said not to drive the car which I agreed on.
Note: Car has sts twin turbos
Oil pressure isn't dropping but does look like it spewing in the engine bay from somewhere.
So any ideas you could throw at me so im not driving myself crazy. Bad or really bad let me know what you think
I'm not sure what that thing with the electrical connections on it is (something related to the scavenge pump?), but it looks like that oil seepage isn't new. I'm not sure I'd be fixating on that.
The check engine light usually flashes when misfires are detected. Misfires can happen for a lot of reasons. Ignition system item (plug, wire, coil) would be my best guess as a most likely cause, but it could be something mechanical like a toasted cat.

Your not savaging the turbo oil back to the engine, have the scavenge pump looked at, and you will most likely have to drain the oil from the charge tubes and intercoolers while changing spark plugs.
Thanks for the replies guys! car went into a very popular GM dealer today that is also a Hennessy dealer. Problem couldn't be the cats because there are no cats, had to deal with that last year. Should know by tomorrow. My guess is a seal got hard on the turbo oil pump and cracked when it was sitting over the winter.
I think Doug is onto something and probably has seen this in the past I'm guessing. Failure of the scavenge pump could definitely cause the issues you're seeing.
Well GM said they dont want to touch the car so i took matters into my own hands. Lifted the car saw that one of the tubes connecting to a waste gate had popped off. Could be the reason for misfire because the engine wasn't getting air sent back and essentially only running one turbo. Further inspection the oil is coming out of the oil pump looks like a cracked seal that might have dried out after sitting over the winter. Car will still be hooked up to the diagnosis and possibly on the dyno also. Looks like a cheaper fix

Who installed and tuned your kit? I'd start there. It sometimes helps to take it to someone who is familiar with the car and kit. Many places have never heard or even seen a STS kit before.
