Default Thinking of adding a blower....

Not a big fi fan, but I'd like to add some power without changing heads and everything else for A 50rwhp gain. The car has a built forged 416 now and I road race, so....I'd like to add a blower, then remove it when I road race and switch the tune...sounds easy right?

Anyway...I'd like a pro charger and not a roots type. Looking for maybe 800rwhp which isn't to much for this motor. Putting the kit on seems to be pretty easy, what I don't know about is the fuel system. Still on all stock now.

Any advice, suggestions, or comments appreciated.

I'd get the new Ysi. You will kill it with that thing.

If it's a road race motor, I'm guessing near 12:1 Static compression ratio? If so that would be too high for boost on pump gas.

Removing the blower, changing belts, putting on the tensioner for the n/a setup etc would get old.

Just do a nitrous setup for drag racing and pull the bottle when you road race.

It's 11:1 with a 8.2 DCR. Pretty docile as it was made to last a long time, not win the 24 hours of lemans
I only get the chance to road race once a year, if that. Car sees maybe 2000 miles a year so I wouldn't be switching often.
I don't drag race, or care for playing with bottles.

Man, you must be handy with a wrench if you consider a supercharger a bolt-on.

I consider everything a bolt on unless you are building a short block with assembly and have to get to micron levels of perfection. So ya...I'd say it's a bolt on.

I can set you up with a good deal on an ECS kit since i am having sale on them right now. As for fuel system. I would do 80lb injectors and the ECS stage 1 fuel system and it will support your power goals no problem.

Shoot me a PM if you are interested.

After boosting your going to never want to take it off lol
