Default Alky controller mounting box

Wanted to share with the forum a cheap solution to a mounting location for my meth controller box I have been searching for. I did not want to drill in my dash and liked the driver side bolster mounting location. I tried fabricating a bracket and HD Velcro, but it never held. Came across this third brake light controller mounting box from ETrailer and ordered it. Meth controller fits perfectly in it. I wrapped some thin rubber window insulation around the unit to hold it securely within the box and it works like a charm. Used one of the existing bolster screws and was able to mount the box without even drilling a hole.

Nice tip for if you want the controller in reach. Personally, I like everything possible to be out of sight.

Yeah...I gave up on that with the 3 gauge pillar pod and EBoostII. I also like to use the test button now and again.

FWIW,
we have the decals in a vertical designation. So test boxes can ordered in a Vertical designation. I make these for the Buick Grand Nationals as on those cars the controllers are typically mounted vertically between the dash and radio bezel.
You can also order the plates predrilled and simply transfer over components
HTH

Love the thinking outside the box

Two sided tape mine to bottom below steering wheel/dash. No issues ever. Just reach under and hit test or turn **** when needed.
