summit ls bare block

Has anyone one forum used the iron summit bare block in a build and if so what are your thoughts of it.

More info would be good, price seems good.
I cannot imagine its a GM casting, wonder who is making them.

It's definitely a GM casting. And I thought they were "seasoned" at that. Just machined by Summit. They used to offer the 6.0L but I don't see it anymore. Just a 4.8/5.3 bare block for ~$400 or machined to bored for ~$700. In either case you'd need a cam sensor to plug the hole in the back of the block and they will not have provisions for the knock sensors on the side of the block. You'll need a gen 3 valley cover but the new knock sensors will not fit in the valley.
