Tune with tial 50 BOV
If installing a Tial 50 bov, would the car need to be retuned? Is there any advantage of the tial 50 in hp compared to the stock bosch that comes with the ECS 1500 kit that I have?

Im not sure about the tuning.. I doubt it.. and no no HP gain.. the beauty of a tial is the sound... which actually sounds like a BOV.. not the bosch one that I used to call mine the turkey caller lol... Also I had some issues with the belt jumping ribs which was due to the bosch not releasing the pressure fast enough ... so tial all the way!

That's pretty funny. Unless the old BOV was leaking (and bleeding off boost), then a bigger or better one isn't going to add any power. They're designed to give the extra airflow somewhere to go when the throttle gets closed. That's about it.

To answer your original question: You shouldn't see any change in power. I don't really see why it would need to be re-tuned either but couldn't hurt to keep an eye on things. Hopefully you have a wideband and are doing that anyways.

This. The reason for the larger valve (besides sound) is to let more air out when the throttle closes. It becomes necessary with larger and/or blowers being spun hard.
