Default Dewitts & brushless??

Is anyone running the Dewitts radiator with the brushless fan kit on a blown Z06?....seeing my coolant temps creep up when I'm on the car hard. I'm looking for the solution to keep temps around 200 an under at all times without using meth.

Tom at Dewitt's stated to me that they really have mixed reviews about it and they recommend their regular dual spal fans

Stock fan cooled much better than duals. 17" PWM cooled much better than stock or duals.

Under 200 all the time on a blown z06 is just not realistic without some crazy mods. Meth doesn't help coolant temps.

Pull the intercooler and do all sorts of crazy stuff if you need to be

I don't need to be under that 200 mark. Just want it to stay at a safe level at all times. I'm not tracking the car so what ever an appropriate temp is I'm ok with that. I figured minor changes if any would be necessary.

lot of threads going over this exact issue and questions on here you can find by searching so I don't want to repeat the 7+ pages of comments from people doing what you are discussing but the dewitts 17" brushless fan made a big benefit vs stock fans on my car, which is 865whp iron LSX block with procharger and ECS intercooler. keep in mind these cars naturally run warmer so I wouldnt' worry until coolant is >220 personally.

i have no experienced with the dual spal fans but Unreal runs 1,100whp in 110* AZ heat with a LSX iron block, AC cranking and he has perfect coolant temps so.....I just blatantly copied him....haha

be sure you don't have grass and other ***** up in your ac condensor and radiator too.

well I ordered a c6 dual fan kit from Dewitts on Tuesday since he said they were in stock, called today to find out my order was lost Found spal dual 11in fans (30102052) for $200 shipped with the shrouding. I need them for tomorrow so I had to cancel since they were not in stock anyhow . I will report back with my results soon .

The kit dewitts sells is different. It comes with the mounts/etc for a vette. The dual spal generic you will have to find a way to mount it.

Plus those fans flow less than stock, so I don't see a reason to downgrade.

yeah after doing some more reading ,I am going to just relay my stock fan to get full power .I have tested the full power to the stock fan ,and its blowing considerably more air. Just need a 60/80amp relay .

This is interesting because Alan seemed to find that the duals cooled better than the 17" although he seemed to run into some issues with the 17", and it's on a C5.

I saw that. But the dual 12s on a c5 are different than the dual 11s on a c6. His car seems to be the odd one out that runs hot no matter what. I know compared to the dual 11s the single 17 puts it to shame and solved all my cooling issues. Sounds like c5s may have even more issues, or need some other work.
