So with all this coolant talk what are the ideal coolant and oil temps your car should be running at? Specifically if your supercharged

Many variables to consider here. Personally the highest I've seen is 207 in 100+ heat in traffic. On the highway I'm usually 196. Average I would say around 200. A&A with Dewitts.

Built n blown 200-210 freeway 220-230 traffic. Stock engine blown I was seeing 180-190 freeway, 200-210 traffic in 90 plus degree Florida humidity

People keep listing their thoughts on ideal numbers what are you generating them from?

Engine temp is going to cause changes to fuel atomization and other things.

Seems to me that people are posting actual numbers and not guesstimates. I think that we all agree that engine temps have a lot to say performance-wise

I guess I'd assume whatever a stock vette runs is pretty close to ideal? GM engineers could set the car to run at basically whatever temp they want when they designed it so I bet the numbers it runs at stock are about ideal, for our blown cars I'd guess maybe 10* cooler on the coolant temps than stock is ideal perhaps to keep cylinder head temps down. So my car seems to run ~180-185 on freeway and 190-200 in traffic, not sure what ideal is but my car comes up to 165 very quickly when started cold but then just stays 165-185. I'd think oil temps are more critical than coolant temps, and I wouldnt like to see oil temps >250ish for any extended time
