Default meth suggestions

So I was thinking about scooping the meth kit from ECS as well. but I am hesitant because I am mechanically challenged I want as low maintenance as possible when it comes to the car. I'm not really looking for the extra power, just want to keep the engine safe. Is their kit a "set it and forget it" kind of kit or is it something I am going to have to constantly mess with? Also is the added power something I have to worry about? IE am I in danger of pushing the stock engine, trans, rear to its limits? Do you also smell any of those fumes inside the cabin of the car?

I just installed mine last weekend. I would say is just install and forget, and since you are thinking like I did, my suggestion is to do it. I didn't make any changes to the tune and ended setting the gain **** on 6. I went from running 11.01@119 to 10.54@134 with just the meth. Well worth in because the ecm pulls timing due to the high IATs. Also buy the breakout wiring to run the ZR1 IAT sensor on the intake right behind the throttle body. Plenty of threads on this forum if you search. Good luck.

Once it is installed the only thing you have to do is fill the meth tank, usually every 2-3 tanks of gas depending on driver habits. Adding will make a little more power, but you can leave everything the way it is and just add it for safety.
It will also help with retaining the power year round.

it's virtually 'set and forget" if done right, with single nozzle you rarely have to refill and it's a good idea to change the pump every few years but some guys don't and they're usually fine. if you don't tune the car to rely on it I think it actually improves reliability a lot and it's cheap to do.

I keep thinking I've got to be close to running out.. then go to fill it up and it's not even close to empty. More like 2/3 full. I'm using a single nozzle, so I'm sure that helps

It's very low maintenance. Dump some more in every now and then and there ya go. Meth gets low away from home? Stay out of boost and it doesn't matter in the least.

...or stop at the local CVS and add a little distiller water until you get home!
