Hi all
About a year ago i installed a Heartbeat supercharger in the car and am loving it. In the back of my mind i now feel that the factory clutch is inadequate, and at 72,000 kms feel it is time to replace the factory clutch and like the supercharger am coming back to all of you guys for what you feel is the best or more adequate one to go with. Thanks in advance for any info.
Barry
I'm running a Monster LT1-S and really like it. Very quiet, stock feel (it's basically the twin disc clutch used on a C7 Corvette with a flywheel that allows it to fit our cars).
I'd probably consider the -SC version if I were doing it over again. It'll handle a bit more power
When I first took the stock clutch out I ran a LS9R. It was completed crap and couldn't hold 630rwhp. I replaced it with a Mantic 9000 and I love it. It held 780rwhp just fine for two years and drives great. The car is currently getting some upgrades and I'm sure the clutch will be just fine.
I use a McLeod RXT. Some people have very good luck and others have bad luck with them. The key is follow their instructions. It's a great clutch kit for daily driving like I do.
