contemplating adding a meth kit to my stg II eforce LS2...i contact eforce directly and they respond:
Do NOT use methanol injection as it will damage the rotors and housing. We’ve had superchargers come back to us that look almost melted after they’ve been injected with methanol.
Sooo, whats the next best thing out there to reduce IAT in an eforce or an alternate method for the meth in an eforce?
I've been running meth, and various combinations of meth and water, through Eaton blowers since 2005. Several hundred thousand miles easily. I've yet to see any ill effects. Easton's "official" stance obviously is....don't use it. I'm guessing they encourage any of the aftermarket companies that use their rotor groups to adopt that same stance. Hence, you won't find an aftermarket manufacturer (Edelbrock, Magnuson, etc) that will tell you it's OK to use.....even though it is
Upgrades to the heat exchanger and coolant pump will probably help more with IAT's than meth. Meth will give you more octane to work with though.

can u elaborate on the heat exchanger and pump? what exactly are the options?
If you can find a ZR1 pump, it's a nice upgrade. I've used Mezziere (I'm sure I butchered the spelling) pumps too, but they didn't last very long.
Magnuson's Heartbeat uses a good heat exchanger on their new kits. Should be a bolt in with few fitment issues. The ZR1 guys use it with good success. I'm using it on my Heartbeat system. IAT's don't go up as high and recover faster vs my other TVS based builds. Probably not completely and solely due to the h/e, but I believe it's an upgrade for just about any older TVS based kit.

hmm, i will look into that...
how about adding RP Purple Ice Super Coolant in the blower reservoir? i use it in my engine coolant and it really works...
Yeah, also use the minimum amount of anti-freeze you can get by with. The coolant additives work better with straight water, but I realize that isn't practical due to climate for some folks.
The higher the percentage of meth you use, the more you need a retune. My take on it anyway. I didn't retune my truck with a Maggie TVS2300 when I added low temp WW fluid injection. It occasionally showed a little KR before, so it probably was tuned a little aggressively anyway. It's about a 50/50 mix of water and meth. I use a Snow system for that one. No KR now.
I spray 100% meth in my Vette with Heartbeat TVS2300. I did get that one retuned. It's an Alky Control setup. That's the only way to go if you're spraying straight meth IMO.
