Hey guys. I scored a Ron Davis radiator and got it in place for mock up, but it is oh so close to fitting. I need a RCH to make it fit. If I remove maybe 3/8 off the bottom rubber mounts it should go anyone see a issue with that? Also maybe heating the air cleaner intake with heat gun I may pick up the clearance. This is a ECS car.
as long as there is still enough rubber on the bottom to isolate the radiator from getting bounced around too bad metal against metal i would think it should be fine.

I cut off some of the bottom of the two lower rubber radiator mounts leaving about one half inch before final installation of my Ron Davis radiator eight years ago and all has been fine.
hey is the plastic intake tube from filter to supercharger available for ECS? Tried calling no one getting back. Want to make sure I can get a new one before I go cutting mine to make it fit. Just have to cut down the portion by the air cleaner its hitting the condenser. Other than that looks like its going to work.

Hey guys just a update on this. Been super busy traveling and got on the wrong end of Gout flare so haven't done much for a while. I got the radiator in, haven't done any testing yet but its holding coolant and fits and is in solid.
This is NOT a bolt in. I had to cut the lower radiator bushings about 3/8 and I loosened the radiator support brackets and shimmed it about the same. So in reality I had to drop it maybe 3/4" to make it fit. The upper radiator hose is now up against the antilock brake lines, need to figure that out. For those of you that are purist and don't want to molest things to make it work its not for you there are other solutions that have cut down radiators to fit the ECS air cleaner intake. I got this for a great price off of the for sale section and really needed a solution so I can drive this in the summer. I tried everything I could think of to get my temps down but turning the AC off when it is 95 is not a option in NC especially with the wife in the car. I am very confident this will fix my issue its a beefy radiator much bigger than stock.
