I think its a matter of luck. Some guys have no problems, and some do with boost. Since you can make all the power you want with the stock one, I would sell it, put money in my pocket, and not have to worry about it.

Money in pocket and to put towards other mods is much nicer than a liability of something that may or may not hold together.

I wouldn't be surprised is FAR more are leaking or damaged than people know, they just never check or open them up. Local guy came in down on power, leak checked his car. Big leak from the main oring on the fast, and when opened 2 of the runners where broken off and just laying in the bottom of the intake.

For some reason I don't believe nearly every installer screwed up the install.

Way too many for that to be operator/installer error.

If you have Fast 102mm I would stick with it. I can take 30psi.

WOW that's a crazy story. incredible the thing just fell apart internally. I don't remember the shop but some big name shop (vengeance?) on here had a FAST literally explode under boost and since then they only run the OEM intakes or metal on the boost builds.

Great intake. Have to cut a lot more than just the hood. Have to cut the cowl and remove wiper.

Yep! Actually I did a lot of testing with the Highram and fast 102 on my FI setup. The Highram picked up power above 5500 over the Fast but lost around 150 ft lbs below 5000. That worked out for me because I needed to kill some torque to help traction when launching.

You do have to cut the cowl but it looks like the wipers can go back.

Do you have any data from that at all? It seems like a good idea to extend the powerband up top since all the bottom end torque doesn't help when you are spinning haha.

I have a dyno at my house so I play with part changes all the time.
I have lots of data and dyno sheets.
I'm traveling to Korea for work right now but I'll post the results when I can.
