Default Boost with no Meth

How many people are running stock cars with just a supercharger and no Meth. Any issues?

Not a ton. The benefits far outweigh the negatives

If your amount of boost and aggressiveness of tune don't outrun your octane, there's no problem. Plain and simple.

Speaking of which.. I need to watch me some breaking bad!

It's been long enough now that I've forgotten what happens so it's fun to watch a second time

lots of cars on here without methanol going fine, I'd guess they are just closer to 550whp rather than 650whp+, i just can't imagine why someone wouldn't run a methanol kit at this point though, especially on the lower power 550-600whp cars you can tune them so conservatively where there isn't much risk and the methanol lasts a long time and I think it helps the reliability and longevity of the setup a lot. just my $0.02

Yah, but you'd need a TV installed under the hood of your car to do that! Just saying...

I'm one of those lower powered non-meth guys. I think if you're less than 8psi, you're fine with 93 octane with the right ignition timing.
But, I'm planning to change the cam and throw some more boost on it soon, so I guess I'll be "breaking bad" then too!

Too much snow/ice ... it finally mostly melted today though. I might get it out on Thursday

Need to put the cats back on it though.. I tried taking them off again (doing 1/2 mile event in April so wanted to see how it'd do) and it makes me hate driving the car. I don't know if I have a leak somewhere or what, but it's just awful without them

I keep forgetting that some of you folks have to contend with that cold weather thing! If it's any consolation, it was a frigid 77 down here yesterday too...
I know what you mean about running without cats. It's one thing that I hate about my truck, the smell of unburnt gas...wifey says she doesn't like either the sound or the smell of it, even though she used to beat up on mustangs and civics with it, back when we had a track...

576 rwhp no meth. Only had it on the car a few months. I do plan on adding it before the heat sets in this spring.

My car does fine without meth. Sure there is power left on the table but I'm ok with it... for now.

this has been discussed a ton of times...I'm too lazy to type it all out again but in short yes meth is great. I ran without it before and when I switched I felt stupid for not running it.

07 Z06 - A&A Supercharger V3 Si. 670 rwhp 610 rwtq - 6 PSI boost. Stock bottom end - NO METH.

I have running this configuration since 2013 with no issues. 93 octane only. I am considering adding METH this summer. I know many other cars that also not running METH with no issues. My concern about running METH is the additional maintenance and carrying around a container of METH around (especially when traveling out of town). In order to make more power (more timing) and keep the car safe I must do this upgrade or pay the big bucks to upgrade the rotating assemble to forged (Pistons, Rods, Fuel System and etc).
