Default Eforce valley plate - Please help me determine if this is right

Folks,

Can't get hold of Edel. technical support. Maybe you can help.

Going through a comprehensive DYI upgrade on my 2008 C6 and among other things I am transferring my 1591 Eforce to a new block.
My old eforce valley plate is literally seized to the old block so I decided to leave the tedious work of drilling bolts out for another day and bought a new valley plate from JEGS. The box for the new part is marked "15911 LS3 Supercharger valley plate"

Picture of bottom valley plate taken from 2011 valley plate thread:

Picture of bottom valley plate I received:

So the stamping seems similar but mine is missing the round grooves for the rubber seals.

Question: Did Edelbrock redesign the valley plate for 1591s or is the one I received outright wrong?

Thanks!

Well! That was quick. Turns out the plate I have is correct for an eforce 1599 system or in other words I was sent the wrong part for the 1591. Yikes!

Sorry bother; I don't know how to delete thread so I am leaving this for posterity.

Glad you got it figured out. I got a defective valley cover, and had to replace it.

Those bolts are a bitch, especially when still installed in the vehicle. There is no room for a drill, even a right angle for the drivers rear bolt.

So the end of the story: The valley plate part number for the 1590/91 is 24-15908 and it is no longer available for sale as a separate piece but Edel will gladly shipped it to you ifyou buy the entire system for 8k or so...
1590/91 owners be aware. That valley plate is precious!

Looks like I am going to refresh on those bolt extraction threads....

The best advice I can give is use a quality socket and the correct hex size, I believe they're metric. The cheap sockets tend to round off and mess up the bolt. And perhaps a little heat on the bolt head if you have a small butane torch.

And use some anti seize on the new bolts.
