But on the other hand, if your car already has a very aggressive tune and it tends to knock with normal gas, then, yes.

In most cases, no, you would not gain anything.

my tuner has told me to be careful with race fuel as apparently some race fuels have a different stoich than pump gas, we have a 100 octane unleaded that is easy to get in our area with the same stoich as pump gas and I always make sure my tank is about 50% race gas when going to the track just for safety for the motor

No, and it may actually lower power depending on gas/tune.
