Default LSX Block and oil cooler adapter block?

This is a question for those of you running an LSX block and an oil cooler. I am currently running a oil cooler adapter block from Improved Racing LINK. This block worked well with my factory LS7 pan and LS7 block but since I switched to the LSX, the LSX casting doesn't seem to let the oil block sit flush, causing a small oil leak. I was thinking of giving the Lingenfelter block a try LINK. What are you guys using?

I got a LPE block. Used it for awhile, no leaks. Running block off now, but had no issues with the LPE block.

What I used

Default LSX block and LPE oil cooler adapter block

Yes, the newer versions of the LPE oil cooler adapter block have clearance machined in them to clear the GMPP LSX block. We made this change in late 2007 so parts shipped starting in early 2008 should have this clearance feature.

Nice, I wasn't aware this was a problem. Been running my LPE block for years on my old 408 and now my LSX.

Thank you for the response! Any idea when you will have more in stock?

I might be interested in your Improved Racing one if it still looks new.

Default LPE part - inventory

I think we kitted up 20 sets yesterday or the day before but that may have been just to fill back-orders.

We have more of the machined parts ready to assemble as kits but we are out of stock on the stainless fitting/plug (been on back order for months). Crazy when one little part holds you up.

Damn. Ryan@ LPE shot me an email saying that ya'll were at least 2-3 weeks out on them . I guess I'll just park the car until these are ready.

If it helps, Autometer makes an adapter fitting for that hole that turns it into a 1/8" npt port. You can either put a sensor in it or plug it. Maybe LPE can ship it without that plug if you're in a bind.
