Why do you need to know the direction? If you're getting hit by radar, you're getting hit by radar and should slow down. It doesn't matter how many sources there are (99.9999999% of the time) or what direction unless you're doing the Cannonball run.

I currently have an Escort Max and a V1. I only bought the Max because the car was pre-wired for an Escort. In my experience, the V1 is at least 30-40% faster at detecting a threat. The Escort is just always a little too close for comfort. I have read that the 'Redline' version is better. I do like the Arrows on the V1 as well.

Also look at using the Waze app for your cell phone, as a free add on for whichever detector you decide to get
