Hey guys, just wanted to show you all a few changes I made to my ECS 2200r kit.
After putting the kit on and going straight to TX for 2k, there were a few things I realized I didn't like so after breaking an axle on Sunday at the drag event I decided to make some upgrades while the car was down. The first thing I didn't like was that I couldn't run a filter, I don't know if I wasn't trying hard enough or if it was my lack of imagine, but I couldn't get the dongle on. Second thing was the lower radiator spacer "relocator", it made it very difficult to get on and off my trailer and for some reason the bumper didn't fit quite the same. My solution for both included a new lower radiator support, shortened Dewitt's radiator and fan assembly, and a custom intake for the blower. I also redid the other intercooler pipes ( I was having issues with my Texas speed maf poping off under boost, so I ran speed density for the trip) now it's one piece with the flange in the pipe. I didn't like having the intercooler mounted to the lower support so we mounted it to the bumper support. Just need to finish some wiring and she'll be back on the road. Here are some pics
Honestly didn't look into it, do you have a link? The car is making to much power as is, stock bottom end made 850 uncorrected at 6300 rpm when my maf popped off.
I think a BLOX filter and stack would have fit right on there. When logging IATs I see ~ zero difference once the car is moving relative to the setups that put a filter in front of the radiator. at least on my car.
Great products really. No one else on here makes one and sells one as far as I can see. Corvettes are typically 5-10 years behind on common sense FI tech though, it's only a matter of time.
I understand the benefits of a velocity stack but none of those options provide a filter. I know im leaving HP on the table, but I just like knowing I have a filter on. the D1 on my mustang sucked in more then one thing.
