Fuel pressure dropping
I’ve just gotten the car back together and this weekend is the first attempt to start it up.
Fuel pressure characteristics with 044 and AFR 13105 boost referenced, Z06 in-tank with BAP, car takes several attempts to start. When I shut the car off and it sits a minute it will take several attempts to start again. It has 43psi FP at idle, as I give car gas FP drops down progressively to below 10psi, I shut off before then.
I capped off lines for the 044 external pump and AFR FPR, with stock system idle FP is 62psi but still drops down progressively to below 10psi.
I connected a line to where the Tee on the FPS and just bit the button to see if there was any fuel being pumped; initially I got a small pulse of fuel then nothing. I turned car off and activated start button and got not fuel the 2nd time.
The Z06 in-tank, 044 pump and Paxton FPR was installed a little over a year ago.
Since this time being down, I installed AFR FPR, new clutch, Z06 tranny, had pinion machined, replaced the driver’s fuel level sender, and replaced the driver’s in-tank tubing (tangs were broken from removal).
My thoughts before dropping the tank; check crossover tube for connection, check electrical connections.
Any testing I can do? Thoughts??? Thanks
