I installed my stage 1 fuel system today. I jumped the relay to make sure the system worked and to check for leaks before reinstalled rear inner wheel well.
I can't log fuel pressure (no sender). What is the easiest way to insure it is turning on while under boost without buying a pressure sending unit?
You can run a simple led off the voltage at the pump which would tell you that you are getting voltage to the pump, but without a fuel pressure switch or sensor the only thing would be your afr going lean. I have the aem fail-safe wideband which checks afr at certain boost levels and will flash red if afr goes lean under boost.
I know.....one of many things I have put on the back burner. I have spent a ton of money on this car over the last two years. Clutch and sticky tires are still on the list too. With the sale Doug is having on clutches, I may have to give in.
I was having a problem with my external fuel system not coming on properly from low quality shop that did the previous work, redid the whole thing and when it came on it added over 1 point to my AFR from mid 11s to low 10s at ~900whp. Every car is different and I have no idea who hard you are pushing your setup but if you were running out of fuel before the difference should be noticeable I think.
