Default DP3 or Dewits

apparently i need to upgrade the wiring harness/relay that activates my current OEM fan on my SC 08 Z06. I've been told it keeps crapping out because its being used more and drawing my amps so its prone to burn out or something to that nature.
question being has anyone switched off to the DP3 dual fan kit or the dual fan kit from dewitts, or the brushless fan kit from dewitts? DP3 seems to be plug and play with the OEM radiator, but dewitts requires their radiator to work. Are these my only options ? or can i just upgrade/replace the wiring to the fan thats on their now?

Did both.. D3 will fit with a ton of cutting and you mod their bracket ends but its not flush. Dewitts will fit perfect and now they have upgraded their fans/shrouds for superchargers cut off upper right and their wiring relay kit is no longer using oem crap module that burns connectors. D3 did cool/pull a lot more than Dewitts dual spal but im going to try Dewitt 17" with new motor that doesnt shut down when it gets hot, also recommend Dewitt fan shroud because its flush.

but you need to get the dewitts radiator right? u like the dual fans more than the single brushless fan dewitts offers?

If it's just the fan connector melting then you can cut it out and solder or crimp the wires together around it

Just fix the connector. Its the best of all those options and cost <$10

Agree just fix connector and go around it. You need dewitts rad, correct. Both Dewitts as a package is a pretty damn good price IMO.

does doing this make the fans work all the time making them more suceptable to burning out? or is that something else I'm mistaken your solution for?

No, it's just the connector that connects the fan controller to the fans. They still work like normal, it's just a matter of getting rid of a weak link

The connector itself is barely adequate for the amount of power the fan uses if it's wide open. Add in some wear/tear on the connector, engine bay heat, etc. and it's not uncommon for them to melt on cars that run the fans wide open for long periods of time, which causes the fans to not work at all (or barely)

So, just getting rid of the connector isn't a bad option if it's an issue

But did Dewitt replaced the connector? or do I have to do it when received, I just ordered mine last week. Please let me know, don't want to deal with that after installed.

Thanks!!

No, dewitts dual setup needs you to cut the connector off and attach it to their fans. If it the dewitts nuova setup it is all new and doesn't use factory fan controller at all.

The dual setup is a downgrade from stock, the nuova is an upgrade but not cheap.
