I'm on the fence about getting an alky meth kit. Where is the best resource for information to answer my 1000 questions. Trying not to do one or two at a time here first. Thanks. BTW, ECS 1500, big blower cam, zo6 exhaust, on a 2006 base manual.

Reason: Mistake
Agree. Julio is great to deal with. No real downsides to running meth on a FI car, if tuned properly. The benefits far outweigh the cost of refilling and rebuilding the pump every two years or so.
I have no experience with alky control systems on the corvettes, but I do have first hand experience with Julios system on my procharged 2006 single cab sierra, and that was by far the best thing I did for that truck. The truck was making 595/515 at 8lbs through a d1sc on 91, after a retune and meth its made 675/595 as I was able to run an additional 3* of timing. IATs dropped from 140* through the traps on an 85* day to just shy of 100* on a similar 80+ degree day. I drove the **** out of that truck, and ran at least 20 gallons of VP m1 through it and it the pump never gave me issues. It was stuffed in a fender well and exposed to the elements and never blinked. Call him up, hes just a great guy to talk too.
Julio and ECS both can answer any or all of your questions, I bought my kit from ECS. I love it, absolutely won't run another forced induction motor without it!! Im looking to put it on my diesel engine now.
Thanks for your replys. I talked to Doug today and answered 200 of my 1000 questions, always good to talk to him. I'll order the kit from him, great customer service means a lot nowadays. Doug if your reading this the belt issue I was having was a badly wobbling harmonic balancer. With it only having 11000 miles on it I didn't suspect the damn thing. I'll get an ATI like I shoulda done in the first place. Once again proving that learning is expensive. Now out with the steering rack yay. Thanks again

The Alkycontrol setup is slick, especially the controls/ motor driver. Mounted my controller in the dead pedal. The only regret is I moved the washer tank and mounted the pump BEFORE figuring out exactly where to tap and drill the washer tank for the suction hose. The hose is pretty stiff and doesn't flex and moving the washer tank up 1/2" would have worked better. I'd mock up the tank, suction hose and pump before mounting/drilling anything
I saw some pictures from an ECS install that did it slightly different than most. Instead of putting the hose through the bottom of the tank they did it on the side. They also didn't re-drill any holes for the washer tank but instead moved tank up and let the washer of the bolt grab on to the tab of the tank.. hard to explain, I'll try to find a picture
If I had seen these before installing mine that's how I would have done it too. Seems like it'd pick up methanol even lower in the tank this way and you don't have to drill as many new holes into the frame.
edit: or at least I THINK it was their install... let me see if I can find that picture again
