The fact that it made 20 passes in one day and is still running is impressive to me!, let alone the fact its making big power and hauling ***.

for real. seems to me like all the >1k whp cars seem to have constant problems at the 1/2 mile events I go to. VERY rare I see some big power cars run all day without issues and make real passes

Drove there and back, and to work on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday. Did a total of 358 miles so far this week.

A/C blows ice cold too since it is already mid 90s here.

To be fair, I didn't get a clean pass all day, but those minor issues are fixed now. First 3 1/2 miles I made 20+ passes problem free. 4th one broke drive shaft, 5th one clutch went out. This one was me being dumb and not aligning the shifter during the clutch swap. The TB issue was new, but all fixed.

People definitely don't understand the maintenance/care/etc that goes into a 1000+ car. I easily spend 2-3 hours a month under the hood or under the car tweaking/fixing/modding stuff. Always finding little things to fix before they become big things. Stuff like valve covers come off every 2 months for inspection. Fluids are swapped all the time. Plugs inspected at least once a month. Etc.

Are you still running the intake? Any ideas on the cause or a solution? I'm not for sure, but I think the one that I just installed might be on its way to developing some cracks in the same spots.

Yep. Now has 2 cracks at the mounting points. No leaks yet but it is slowly coming apart.

Determined its from the intake flexing under boost. Its clamped down to the heads but the center part flexes up and is causing cracks to form at the mounting spots.

Solution, get a new one, and either brace it, or epoxy the hell out of it, then paint it, or metal intake. The stock intake is by far the most robust of the plastic intakes i've seen, but it isn't holding up to 25+psi.

The brace would be interesting. I'm guessing a support across the midpoint of the runners might be enough to limit deflection and possibly make the intake last. Have you been able to see yours deflecting during a dyno pull yet?

I'm not crazy about the $$ associated with the metal intakes. I've also heard some comments about tip in fueling issues due to heat soak.

Lately it always seems to be one issue or another with these cars.

Haven't seen anything visually, but the mounting points are all seperating from the plenum area. No other real explanation.
