Default Fuel system for 800whp on pump E85

I've been doing some poking around on the A&A, ECS and Fore websites, and it seems they all have something to get the job done. I'm probably like most of you... I dislike the idea of punching a hole in a plastic fuel tank. BUT, I also like the idea of keeping $1k in my pocket. I don't mind spending money on necessary things, but I'm totally over the mentality of.. "you own an expensive car, so you should buy the most expensive parts". I just want reliable and safe fuel delivery.

For those of you who have gone down this path.. Did you make any choices you wish you'd have made differently related to fuel system components?

I have a single nozzle Alky kit also.

Making a hole is no problem. The ECS bulkhead is the best option for that. I run that bulkhead with an A&A twin pump kit. Works great.

If you don't mind dropping the tanks, possibly more than once if any issues arrive, then the Fore systems look like the way to go.

I had absolutely no issue punching a hole in mine. ESC stage 1. I had the whole thing done in less than 3 hours. The tank is VERY thick. I have a toggle switch to by pass the hobb switch in the event my in tank fuel pump craps out while driving.

That's a pretty good idea.

Obvious I am biased, but IMO the difference in our kit and others as far as the tank mounting of the fuel lines is second to none. Simply not even a comparison in quality, and we actually understand how the fuel system works.

Our systems start at $799 for the stg1, the hoses are pre-made PTFE and pressure tested too.

Thanks for the interest guys!

I may do this at the same time as I address something with my transmission. If the drivetrain is out perhaps I should start with the Stage 2 system? Do you have any pictures of the Stage 2 system (components and installed)? I couldn't find one your site.

We have hesitated putting them on the site because it's so often that people would order but had aftermarket fuel rails or other custom parts that required different fittings etc. So we take the phone call to try and by pass return shipping of some parts, shipping out of new.

I guess we should at least put it there for a stock rail scenario.

The additional parts are the two fuel tank regulator block off's, a boost referenced regulator and the necessary fuel line needed. it's just additional parts that work with the stg 1 system basically.

this is exactly what I have but stage 2 ECS and A1000 with stock z06 pump on BAP. works perfectly at 900whp so far on 91 pump gas and dual nozzle meth m10/m15. rock steady fuel pressure all the way to 175mph at 1/2 mile event.

After buying Stecks controller, I'm very happy with the Eliminator.

Could you expand upon that? Why did you need the controller? What does the controller do? Where did you get it? Dedicated?

So does adding those few things to the stage 1 make it capable of supporting more? For example what would that system now support on e85 power wise?

ECS stage 1.

My fore stuff is ok, but still problematic at times and was a complete pain in the *** to install and trouble shoot. I would do anything possible to avoid going in the tanks.

Agree about not going into tanks unless you have to. ECS stage 1 won't support that power but with a bigger (or dual) pumps and a return it will. Basically what the Stage 2 is.

About every 3 months I get a service fuel system, and gauges go dead. Typically on long drive. Reload tune and all good. Something with the sensors not synching up correctly. Only happens if I drive from full to lower than 1/2 tank in one drive (road trip/etc). Annoying, but I'll live with it as no way in hell I'm getting back in there to fix such a minor issue.

tune the fuel sending units to "no error reported". problem will probably go away. mine started doing the same thing after fill up. tuned them out and they work perfectly

Which codes exactly? It doesn't throw any codes, just freaks out every 3 or so months on long drives. I'll do that tomorrow though, not that I would ever notice it until 3-4 months from now.

Just to add a data point here I have ECS stage 1 with an AEM380, a stock 07 fuel pump, dual m10 nozzles in the alky kit, bosch 127 injectors.

The pumps cant keep up enough for me to run E85. We had to back down to E70 to let the fuel system keep up. Made 860/800 through a 6L80E on the E70.

Someday I will do an ECS Stage 2 upgrade with a better in tank pump and boost reference the system.

Oh. Could be mistaken. That may be something new if they have an E85 specific kit now. The stage one I used to use wouldn't support that.

ECS now has a Stage 1 E85 kit with a -10 feed and -8 output and an Aeromotive A1000 pump, for $1299. I don't even see the Stage 2 listed anymore. That should be good for what the OP wants to do.
The only problem I have with ECS is that I've been trying to order one of their fuel kits (and a tensioner) for the last two weeks and after several tries at ordering it online and a couple of emails to Chris, I still haven't been able to get it ordered. Maybe they're slammed with work or something...
