Default ls3 piston compression ratio help.

Hi I am building up a ls3 engine and need help on piston selection since I plan on running boost. I am looking for 700whp. The pistons I am looking at is mahle 930224570 which will give me a 10.1:1 and je 312031 which will give me 9.4:1, Which compressio ratio should I go with? Also my heads were given to me from my buddy who owed me some cash, the heads are cnc ported and milled to 64cc chambers hence the reason for piston selection. Btw will I have any problems with head deack thickness since they are milled such as head floating etc? I do have arp head studs to give them some extra clamping force. Also I will be running pump 92 octane with meth injection.
Thanks
Richard

Would be fine for the 700 you're going for. Plenty of stock weaker pistons with higher CR's have done it so don't see any reason to lower it much IMO. Just use plenty of meth to keep octane up

If it were e85 setup I'd go like 12 or 13:1

But others may disagree

What Sch said.

Drove a 1100+ 12:1 car. It was AWESOME.

I appreciate it, btw will the milled 64cc heads have any problems such as lifting etc since they have a thinner deck?

I've had both 9.5:1 on my old setup at 760whp and newest setup is 9.75:1 at 900whp and I would go with higher compression. I'd say 10:1 is probably the bare minimum I'd go with going forward and if doing again would do 10.5:1 or something probably

10.1 and only 700 you'll be more than fine unless your tuner can't tune.

Sweet, btw I have my heads at my machine shop getting the valves done, it has stock ls3 valves on intake and l92 exhaust valves, I am wondering if those will work or should i upgrade? also I have btr dual springs and ti retainers. Can I get away with my current valves? it would be great if I can as I am a high school student and don't have a huge budget. Also any problems with the thinner deck because of the heads being milled to 64cc.
Thanks
Richard

Valves will be fine.

Decking should not an issue at your power level. If you are going for 850+then maybe, but not at <800

Thats like saying you are going to run a LS3 based motor. Way too broad.

Friends here are one of the largest BW dealers around. They stock hundreds of them. A s475 can be 1000 different combinations, and without your complete combo/goals, only answer to S475 is maybe it will be good.

It depends on the blower and fuel to a certain extent but 10.0-10.5:1 is a pretty good area to be in around 700whp on pump gas.

As long as you have the fueling for it the more the better. My current motor is at 10.5:1 and I wish I had gone a bit higher.

Hi should I push it to 10.5:1? I am 19 and dont have a ton of money in case engine decides to go south, I want something reliable and I do not want to push compression to high.
Thanks
