Default Fuel system parts that are often overlooked

Barely seen anyone talking about fuel filters on here. They are a vital and important part of a fuel system. Especially on flex fuel. Many of the injectors these days need a high level of filtration that most filters don't provide.

Going to be picking up one of these.

Like all ID parts, I'm sure it is top quality. Paul and his team don't mess around. Will try to get it on the car tonight or tomorrow depending on when I can grab the correct fittings.

Pretty good looking product. Having hard time gauging actual size.

I saw this on facebook a day or two ago. Is it that much better than Fore's filter?

Depends on what you mean better. Easier to service, built in pressure relief valve, etc etc. Does it filter better? I don't know. Does the filter last longer, from the size of it, probably.

Saw that. Nice that it tells you when filter needs changing.

That seems like a nice piece, but I only saw provisions for a #8 o ring. I wonder if they are going to offer it in a -10 or -12 size? I like it a lot. I miss out on some pretty cool stuff cause I'm not on FB.

I asked same thing, and was told no. Use -10 to -8 AN to ORB adapters. They said the -8 on ethanol will support ~2000hp. Tony's car is making 1400awhp on it. So for my needs and most people, the -8 is not an issue. They said the element and internals are going to be more restrictive than the -8 inlet.

I saw Paul post it the other day. I'm sure I'll be grabbing one as well.

Glad they finally got it done. I wanted to buy a filter from them along time ago but it was in the developmental stage.

Yeah I thought about that, but would require me to make new lines so I'll probably stay with the fore one I have for now. I do like the service aspect of that one a ton! Post some pictures of your install if you can. I'm interested to see what it looks like on some one's car etc...

I have fore with -10 and -10. Would just need -8 to -10 fittings, no new lines.

Paul had to leave town, so didn't get to grab one today. ID is just ~4 miles down the road from me, so was just going to swing by and grab one, but he is gone until next week, so I'll get it done then.

Yeah I don't have any fittings. My hoses have O-ring fittings crimped on etc... So mine screw right into the filter housing etc...

A simple inline like the Fore/Aeromotive with the microglass...should cover all fuels, and lets face it, how often would it really need serviced ?

20...30k ? more ?
And they're compact.

Why the need for an extra adaptor just for pressure/temp sensor ? Would be better to just offer drillings in the main body ?

Whilst not as pretty, FF86 has been using these for a while, agri machinery type filters with a spin on base. And they claim 2 micron.
