Ha, that's interesting. You might remember that's the same thing I found on my car too. I'm not sure if it's the Comp Rockers (I have the LS3/L92 offset ones, after all) or the cam is ground with two different base circles on the intake vs. the exhaust.

Did a lot of digging and I'm pretty sure it's the cam grind. I can switch rockers and get the same results so it's not them in my case.

Open pressure is 450 if I remember right and car rarely sees over 6000 rpm. Max ever is 7000 and that was only once on the dyno.

Yep, all of your rockers should be identical, since you have the cathedral port head. I'm thinking it's the cam grind on mine as well.

Wow. Nothing is ever simple. After discussing with comp if the rockers I have were the latest version, and being assured they are...... Of course it turns out they aren't. The one they sent me is the newer model and it's much beefier. That's fine and its no problem to use it mixed with my old ones but of course ............MY DAM VALVE COVERS WONT FIT !!!!!

Sometimes I want to burn it to the ground. LOL.

Anyways, a buddy of mine has some tall Holley's he ordered and can't use so I will try those tomorrow. I'm sure something else will become an issue but I will get it done, one way or the other.

I'm pretty sure Sammy had to switch to taller valve covers as well. Can't recall what rockers he's running but seems possible it's the same ones.

At least it's an easy fix!

Yep, that's exactly what happened with mine. I'm running the same rockers, except with the offset intakes for the LS3/L92 head.
Glad to know they're making them beefier now. Mine certainly looked very stout, like the wide body rockers I have on my boat. Not so good for Jody though...
On the bright side Jody, the taller Holley valve covers come with some sexy stainless steel hold down bolts and grommets (which you can't see because the coils cover them), which the shorter ones don't come with.

You guys have a lot more experience than me but I wouldn't move rockers from one motor/head setup to another especially after they have been run in for 10,000 miles on a prior setup. Even a few tenths differences somewhere or slight change in geometry changes stress points already leveled out an a prior setup. And now there is an oddball rocker in there?

You must have spent a few grand on the top end over the winter so why not put another $300 and get a brand new set. Might sleep better and will give you more confidence when your foot is at the floorboard

No reason not to use the same rockers after changing valve guides. I don't think that's an issue and its $700 dollars for a new set. I sleep fine.

And don't forget..... that's like a million Canadian...............LOL

Whaaa? Where did you price those Jody? I got mine from Summit for like $575 and Hinson has the LS1/2 version listed for $521:

https://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-10...-19024-16.aspx

So, that's only like 3/4 million Canuk bucks.

Working out well. Swapped my valve covers for my buddies tall ones. Lucky for me he needed shorties.

Sold my rockers and pushrods in one day with an ad, so I ordered a new set. Be here Tuesday and I can finally get back on the road.

When the guy showed up for the rockers and pushrods and paid me without hardly looking at them, I felt like going to buy a lotto ticket. LOL

Silly Canadians.

If you haven't played the South Park game, I highly recommend. Just made it to Canada in the game and have to go slay the Bishop of Banff and bring his ***** to the prince in Winnepeg so he can translate a French document for me. It is awesome.
