My tuner is recommending a water/methanol spray into my E-force supercharger using the windshield washer reservoir. What do you all think. This is a daily driver.
If tuned and setup correctly the chance is low. Even now there is hundreds of parts that can fail and cause the motor to explode. If anything it will make the car safer and less likely to fail.
Water injection brings back memories - I used this on my 69 Vette back in the 70s(yes - I am old) and in worked very well in controlling knock. Since today's car have knock sensors, I would highly recommend water injection - if it fails , the knock sensor would pull the timing.
Seems like I saw an MSDS on the stuff and it was about 40% meth. No mixing and fairly cheap. Camping World or other RV/motorhome dealerships carry the stuff. Not sure if it can be shipped. Never lost a pump using the stuff either.
