Hot Springs VA Half Mile event
Hi Guys,
I finally made it out to the first race in over 2 years on our new setup.
For our first passes and a track that is 4000ft elevation I was pretty happy with the day.
First pass was 166
Second pass was 184
third pass was 188
Final pass was 194.8
The car has a lot left in it we hope to be ready and going ***** out at the Indy Wannagofast event in October. These passes were low boost and no traction management enabled. It is a challenge getting a manual car down an unprepared surface but a lot of fun!
Final pass, low quality video:

Computer info? That's looked great compared to reading a graph off hptuners..

It was a pain getting them lined up just right but RaceRender includes some tools that help. Once it's close it's pretty easy to find a spot where the tachometer peaks or whatever so you can line that spot up to the same spot in the log

Are you running the same length tethers on the 2 Stroud chutes?
They staggered mine, and Im not sure I like it. Although we have been using only one at a time to save wear and tear.

This is 800hp on 27.4's. You can tell I ran out of room bouncing off the limiter before the traps. But a shift would have killed my mph. This was the first ever 1/2 mile so nobody had a clue what tire/etc to run. If I just raised my limiter 200rpm, I'd probably hit 173.
Hightechcorvette did a video like yours on my nitrous pass, but the clutch wasn't having ~900+tq and wouldn't shift so it never got posted. I'm guesssing you're at ~630-675hp? Sounds great btw

Yeah if I bumped the rev limiter up a little and went with some taller tires 4th would probably work out pretty well. Thats gotta be close, I’d guess mid 600’s RWHP on a realistic dyno, I’m sure it’d break 700 on one of the lose ones. I need to get it on a dyno at some point, I’ve been saying that for like 2 years
Thanks, yeah I’d love to be faster but I’m kind of at the point where it’s faster than most street cars and reliable and hasn’t really costed me that much relatively, so tough to beat that.. so I’ll probably just leave it alone for the foreseeable future. Maybe taller tires on my next set..
