Maybe go ahead and pin the crank?

You should add an Alky Control meth kit to the list. Should make good power. Not sure how you plan to drive it, but a clutch and drag radials would be a good addition. Good luck with the build.

Good info, My tuner said he always pins the crank on cars that will be getting supercharged. I do plan on running meth and a r888 later down the road. any guesses on power while its NA?

My guess is around 450 in NA form. That cam is very similar to my blower cam and great for a FI set up, but not very aggressive for an NA build. Cam will have great driveability, though.

Do you have any idle clips? I'm a little scared that this cam may be too small and have no lope.

I don't have any idle clips and I won't be near the car for about a week. It has a decent lope at idle, but not crazy. I wouldn't want it too aggressive, especially for a blower cam. That cam will make good power down low and hold power up top and drive close to stock. I'll try to post up an idle video when I can.

It won't have much of a lope, but you will hear it has more than a stock cam.
Mine is close to your specs: VR PD-1 cam with 223/239; .610"/.623"; 118+4* and it has a nice mellow lope to it and makes good power.
Here's what my car sounds like idling with the NPP exhaust closed:

EDIT: Your cam may be slightly more "choppy" than mine, because although you have 1 degree less intake duration, your lobe separation angle is -3* over mine (I'm assuming that your stated LSA/Advance of "155+4" should be "115+4"?). I doubt anyone would be able to discern the difference though.

yes you are right. I meant 115*. Thank you for your clip. Would you guys recommend going with an intake or just wait and save the money? I will probably be N/a for a year or two. I was thinking about the halltech mf103 but I have yet to see actual dyno sheets from individual people

I wouldn't waste the money on a Halltech or any aftermarket filter setup now, if you're going with any form of FI in the future. Been there, done that, and now its sitting in a box in my garage. You may be able to resell it, but I doubt you will see any big gains from it anyhow. But you could pop the shroud open or cut a slot in it at the bottom to let some cool air in from the grill, but you would need to tune out any surge you might get from that. You'll see all kinds of comments about how you will get surge from that free mod, but I've run mine popped slotted, cut out and completely removed without any issues.

This would definitely make sense, rather than have to pull the rack, etc. back out again in the future, just to pin the HB.

Sorry for the late response. Here is a 223/239 116+2 with catless ARH headers and stock exhaust (open).

that sounds great. Thanks to everyone for their inputs. I'll post the results once I get it installed and tuned. Just waiting on the headers from Maryland speed.
