Default ECS cradle relocation??

I've been researching installing a ECS 1500 kit on my 08 base. I see that the radiator cradle gets relocated. Does it actually drop it down also or just move forward? My car is pretty low and I don't want to raise it up. Just wondering before I pull the trigger buying the kit if I'm going to have even more clearance problems?
Thanks

The kit does drop it down 3/4", but we have many people using Ride Tech coil overs with the kit which lowers the car substantially without a problem. At least to what you have pictured. You need to be cognisant of it with a car that low, but you had to anyway and it's a small price to pay for the added power IMHO.

Thanks Doug. Seems like I have ran across a post on someone modifying the mounts on the cradle so it doesn't have to be lowered? I can't seem to find it now.

You can cut off the lower radiator mounts on the cradle and weld them to the bottom of the crossmember to lower the radiator assembly.

You will rip that factory splitter off the car and bottom out on those 2 aluminum protection ramps before the radiator or any ECS added equipment touches the ground.

I lowered the mounts like that and it is a much better solution than spacers. It lowers the rad without losing ground clearance.

Thanks for this info! I have an '07 with a Pro Charger that needs the radiator lowered to enable using an air filter. I see the PC mount for
$400, so I would rather modify the existing mount. Did you have to extend the lower radiator hose?

PC mount and factory mount are different. You may not be able to do the same stuff to the PC mount, as it is a completely new mount, so moving those does not get you more ground clearance. It may get more radiator clearance, but may not, it depends on how it is designed.

PC mount is different....rough estimate I'd say the radiator tabs are lowered, they add intercooler mounts, and the front skid bars are stock height.

Thanks! My car has the stock mount. I'm trying to lower the radiator so I can install the air bridge and filter.
