G........... did you measure camshaft bearing journals before installation into the block?
What if they were undersized? Did you feel anything blocking it while inserting it into the block, indicating you may have hit a bearing insert or bore?
New lifters too.............. also as mentioned could be allowing pressure loss through excessive clearance of lifter body to bore.
If you had good pressure originally, it only could have been the new parts installed which created this issue.

Exactly. If it was good before, and then bad I would say a lifter has excessive clearance, or cam is cut wrong with way too much clearance.

Yes the issue was created when I did the cam swap, everything felt normal as I have done this multiple times on trucks with out this issue. Regardless I know the stuff I changed created this issue, I think at this point it may be better to have someone more knowledgeable look at it.
I dont have the proper tools to measure bearing clearances and mic them etc..

Where did you get the lifters and cam? Real GM lifters or ebay china knock offs that are way undersized and cause you to lose all oil pressure?

those are the stock LS2-LS7 lifter set.GM racing roller lifter set p/n 88958689.look at the difference in price of the 2 kits.either kit will work fine though.the latter are tested to 8,000 rpm.only thing I can think of now is to get rid of melling pump and use stock GM for everything including LS2 o-rings

I use to move the rack, but I find it easier now to drop the cradle. Put a jack under the oil pan and unbolt the rear k member bolts until the last couple threads. I take off the front bolts completely and then if you need too you can use the jack to lift the motor a couple more inches.

So if I'm going to change just my balancer do that and a few other things to get access?
