Default Does anyone tune with Torco?

I've noticed that its very popular in the Terminator world to tune 93+torco. How come its not as common in the ls scene?

I think most guys are running methanol which works way better on a centri supercharger than on a kenne bell or whatever the termi guys run, so probably not as much. I tuned my car just on normal 91+methanol but run a little torco if driving it harder or at the track just for peace of mind

Yeah most of my buddies run Whipple or VMP, same type as KB. That makes sense what you said though. Meth > torco for a centri.

I used it before doing flex fuel but just added for safety. Never tuned to depend on it.

Tuned a 392 SRT jeep with it. It definitely took more timing. Didn't gain any mph though. Think it was already close to MBT on straight pump so the timing didn't help. If you do tune it with it make sure you mix it the same every tank. Also it will turn everything orange. Plugs, O2 sensors etc.

When you add an additives to your fuel mixture on calibration day, you should stick with the same mixture from there on out unless you change the tune again.

Example: Lets say on a normal day, you run 93 octane and the vehicle supports 20 degrees of timing at WOT.

Then the next example before the calibration you add an octane booster that supports 25 degrees of timing at WOT, but then your return to 93 octane levels, you should expect the vehicle to retard timing some, and dependent on how much, that may not be a good thing.

Sometimes guys will have a handheld unit and can switch from calibration to calibration supporting different octane levels.

One of the reasons the Demon has two computer modules. Running the second module for race fuel, Ill bet a dollar the strategies support additional timing for HP gains.

I tell guys, the mixture you bring me you should stick with.

Yes, heads and plugs turn orange.

My response to that is so what? Are you pulling off and showing your plugs off at a car show?
